Support BMAC

Your support is helping people, changing lives

Thank you for your interest in supporting BMAC's mission of building thriving communities. Below are several ways you can join us in creating a brighter future for the Valley. Have other ideas on how we can collaborate? Feel free to contact us and get the conversation going!

Volunteer with BMAC
Interested in donating your time with BMAC? Both long-term and short-term volunteer opportunities are available to community members and parter organizations. For more information, click here.
Friends of the BMAC Food Bank
Donate Funds: When you become a Friend of the BMAC Food Bank, your monthly, recurring gift brings consistent, reliable support to our neighbors in need. Monetary donations provide flexibility to the BMAC Food Bank to buy items most in need, and with BMAC’s bulk purchasing discounts, your $1 buys approximately $1.30 of food. Become a Friend today.

Other ways to support the BMAC Food Bank:
  • Host a Food Drive: If you and your friends or business would like to conduct a food drive, we can help set you up for success. Click here to download a DIY Tool Kit.
  • Donate Shelf-Stable Food Items: The BMAC Food Bank welcomes donations of non-perishables such as canned vegetables, fruits, and meats, as well as on-the-go snacks such as granola bars, jerkies, etc.  For a comprehensive list of Food Bank staple items always in demand, click here.
  • Donate Home-Grown Produce: The Food Bank also accepts donations of home-grown produce. For guidelines on preferred produce, click here. Don’t let your extra tomatoes or tree fruit go to waste! We’d love to share it with our neighbors in need.
  • Volunteer: Want to help with pantry distributions and bag/box builds? Duties may include helping clients check-in/-out, restocking shelves, bagging items for clients, and more. Just a few hours can make a big difference! To sign-up for an onboarding session, click here.
  • Join the Glean Team: Text VOLUNTEER to (833) 753-0944 to receive updates about opportunities to help us gather leftover produce from our partner farms and orchards after they've harvested. These opportunities often have little notice and require lots of hands!
Give through your IRA
You can make a tax-free distribution from your traditional or Roth IRA without incurring federal income tax on the withdrawal.

If you have reached the age of 70 1/2 and must take the required minimum distribution (RMD) from your traditional or Roth IRA, you can replace some or all of it with a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) to BMAC. Contact your IRA trustee or custodian to make arrangements today!
Gifts of Stock
BMAC gladly accepts gifts of stock or securities.  We work with Blue Mountain Community Foundation (BMCF), who facilitates all stock gifts on our behalf.

To make a gift of stock, contact BMCF (509-529-4371), and their team will provide simple instructions and help ensure your gift is properly directed. If you have any questions, or need more information, let us know!
Leave a Legacy (Planned Giving)
Planned Giving (also known as Legacy Giving or Estate Planning) helps our neighbors in need today and tomorrow. We invite you to build your legacy by including BMAC in your estate plans.  Planned gifts allow you to make a commitment during your lifetime to help people and change lives. Every gift—no matter the size—has a lasting impact on our communities.

Have you already included BMAC in your estate plans? Let us know!
