Mission & Vision
Blue Mountain Action Council is helping people, changing lives.

Mission

Blue Mountain Action Council builds thriving communities with:

FOOD:

Health Food for Every Table - We provide food to local students, seniors, and pantry partners through our regional food bank, deliver nutrition education, and partner with local farmers and grocers.

HOUSING:

Stable Homes for Every Person - We help our neighbors find and maintain safe housing through rental assistance, affordable housing, home repairs, energy assistance and weatherization.

HOPE:

Pathways and Support for Every Step - We offer resources, tools and coaching for job training, finances, advocacy, legal support, early learning resources, and community service navigation.

Vision

BMAC envisions just and inclusive communities where all people thrive.

Strategic Direction

BMAC’s Strategic Plan is a community-driven roadmap designed to guide our work and strengthen our impact over the next five years. Grounded in findings from our tri-yearly Community Needs Assessment, the plan reflects the voices, priorities, and lived experiences of the communities we serve. By aligning data, community insight, and organizational vision, this strategic plan ensures our efforts remain responsive, equitable, and focused on meeting the most pressing needs now and into the future.

A Community Action Agency

BMAC is a federally designated Community Action Agency for Columbia, Garfield, and Walla Walla counties, part of a nationwide network commited to helping people and changing lives.
