The IRS officially opens tax season on January 26. Free in-person tax preparation by AARP Tax Aid have begun to allow folks to schedule appointments—and will begin to see clients on February 2 at the Walla Walla Senior Center Monday through Friday, from 9AM to noon and 1 to 4PM, and on Saturdays from 9AM to noon. Here are some other ways to file your federal tax return free of cost.*

• IRS Free File: Taxpayers with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $89,000 or less can prepare and file their federal tax returns using tax software from trusted IRS Free File partners. Click here for more info.
• IRS Free File Fillable Forms: Those with an AGI over $89,000 can file their return for free using Free File Fillable Forms at irs.gov .
