A new grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce has BMAC providing grants to eligible homeowners for vital home repairs. Though grant spots have reached max capacity, BMAC, a Commerce-Approved Rehabilitation Agency, will start reviewing grant applications from a growing waitlist as spaces and additional funds become available.

Eligible grant applicants include low-income seniors, veterans, households with children five years and younger, or persons with disabilities owning and occupying houses in our rural service area.

Eligible repairs include crucial improvements to ensure healthy living conditions for the occupants, including hazard remediation, removal, or abatement. Also eligible for this program are repairs or replacements of major housing systems (structural, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and repairs to infrastructure (septic, sewer, water, and foundations).

To join the waitlist or for eligibility guidelines, please contact Diana at 509-529-4980 x 422 or dianam@bmacww.org.
